With the planet being destroyed and the X being entirely unable to leave, the pacifistic memories of Quiet Robe probably influenced the X to help at least one person escape. In Fusion, the X Parasite had two choices- Die to its natural predator or let Samus consume it and live on in SOME form. It chose the latter.
