As she explores the planet in search of a way back to her ship, Samus finds the E.M.M.I. robots, which have gone rogue and now seek to extract her DNA. Discovering that she can harness the power of Central Units, Samus begins to hunt down each E.M.M.I., acquiring and reacquiring new abilities as she does so.
