What is the mechanism of articulated finger extensions?
The mechanism consists of several joints joined by gears and linkages to copy the movement of a single finger joint to all other joints.
Can you 3D print fingers?
Step 5: 3D Printing the Parts
A single finger takes around 4 hours to print at 0.2mm layer height and takes around 30-40g of filament (10-12m). A thumb prints faster at 2,5 hours. Lower layer heights should give you a better printing experience at the angles of the parts.
