There is no dress code at Severance Hall. However, it is suggested to dress business casual for evening concerts which can include a shirt and tie for men or dress for women.

One of my first moves upon being assigned to cover the Cleveland Orchestra was to request a seat in the Dress Circle at Severance Hall. In my opinion, the Dress Circle is Severance's sweet spot, its sonic focal point. On the floor or higher in the balcony, sound emanating from the shell can seem out of balance.

Today, the main concert hall is known as the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Concert Hall. Severance serves as the home of The Cleveland Orchestra for concerts, rehearsals, and administration.

Each one-hour tour is led by a volunteer tour guide who shares Severance Hall's history and legends as patrons visit the Jack, Joseph, and Morton Mandel Concert Hall, Bogomolny-Kozerefski Grand Foyer, Smith Lobby, the Organ Loft, Green Room, Ong & Lerner Galleries, and the Reinberger Chamber Hall.
