Documentation system is used to manage the artifacts of the museums. It comprises the set of elements such as accession number, accession register, manual or computerized files etc. Accession number is a unique one that has given for each artifact to identify independently.

Archive: A collection of historical documents or artifacts. Museum: A place that has displays for people to come and view historical documents and artifacts.

In museums, archives are generally found either as part of object collections or managed as stand-alone collections. Museums often describe parts of their collections as 'archives' and use this to cover items on paper, photographs, maps or, increasingly, digital files, even if they are not a structured archive.

Although museums do have many other techniques to communicate with the public, their unique and special method is display. An exhibition may be defined as a show or display of materials for the purpose of communication with an audience, often the general public. The exhibits have different aims.
