A secret conversation can be witnessed in Metroid Fusion. To hear it, Samus must perform a difficult series of Shinesparks in Sector 4 after she has opened Level 4 security doors, but before she obtains the Diffusion Missiles.

"During exploration of SR388, Samus is infected by an X parasite and nearly dies. A vaccine created from Metroid cells saves her, but her suit turns blue and loses most of its abilities and weapons.

It is unlocked by completing the game once, and then tapping the Metroid amiibo on the Nintendo 3DS. Initially, this incited controversy from fans, who criticized Nintendo for locking a harder difficulty behind rare amiibo.

Stick to the low ground and fire charged beam shots directly at the SA-X to destroy it. Your beam must be fully charged to damage it. As it approaches, Space Jump over the SA-X to the other side of the floor while charging your beam, and release the shot when you land.
